Moving around the island

Good morning,

I am looking for advice on moving furniture around on the island (STT). I didnt expect there to be uHaul here and Home Depot doesnt have truck rental here. How do people move their things around on the island like couches and beds without having to ask people, "Hey can I borrow your truck?" Any advice or direction would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You could rent a truck from one of the rental car companies. I rented a truck for the week for this purpose and based on the condition of the vehicle, so did everyone else.

Look in yellow pages of local phone book.
Surprised HD couldn't recommend someone.

I rented a small pick up from Centerline Car Rental, who has always treated me very good. I've rented from them many times and every vehicle was in, close to new condition, except that pickup. The pickup was pricy too.
For about the same price I could have gotten an Explorer or 4 door Jeep in far better condition. I would suggest going that route, if your stuff would fit in one of those.

FYI,
The four door Jeep back seats fold down flush with the rear cargo area floor. Lots of room.

I've seen pickup trucks with Budget Car Rental's logo all over them, so they may be another source.

I always rent a pickup with Centerline. But alas that won't help you on STT.
