Countdown to my move BACK to St. Thomas: Lived there 11 years (1991-2002), moving back January 8, 2017. Interested in exploring housemate/roommate opportunities, or if someone has such an opportunity, in St. Thomas. Also seeking work opportunities. Savvy public relations and marketing consultant, own business in USA for 27 years. Non-smoker, no pets, moderate/social drinker, reliable, congenial, island-savvy, trustworthy. Can email me directly if you want at [email protected]

I question the reasons for putting a personal email address on a public forum when the "Send a PM" option works fine.

Check Craig's List.
http://virgin.craigslist.org
Just beware of scam ads and don't send money or rent, sight unseen.
They have jobs listings, apt shares, rental apts., etc.
Good luck.

I actually remember Priscilla Lynn. She did a lot of PR kind of stuff. Maybe for the United Way? Or the Chamber of Commerce?

Welcome back.

What is bringing you back to the Islands if you don't mind me asking? It will be hard to get a job off Island, but you should already know this after living on Island.

I always loved living there, even when I was completely devastated and lost everything from Hurricane Marilyn in Sept. 1995. After 15 years back stateside, it's the case of "you can take the girl out of the island, but not the island out of the girl." So back I come. I feel fortunate that I maintained friendships and business allies even though gone for all these years, and look forward to integrating swiftly back into the 'island life.' I remember the challenges of island living (doesn't sound like WAPA has changed at all). My life and work scenario in the USA allowed me to make this choice to return. I am optimistic for work opportunities, since I've already been seriously exploring that even before my return. Thanks, Priscilla

Yes, you remember correctly. I've been a PR/Marketing/Events consultant for 27 years, 11 of those in the USVI. Glad to be remembered, and will continue to offer those services in the USVI as a freelancer.

Thanks for your input. I actually tried to edit/delete my email from the posting, but apparently unless you edit within 45 minutes, the message cannot be changed. I don't want to delete is, as then all the nice responses I've received will also be deleted. A dilemma.

You shouldn't have any problems at all and already know what to expect. What area are you looking to live? I prefer the North side of the Island especially the hull bay area. But then again all my wife's family lives there and that is where I have spent most of my time. I'm sure you are aware that in this area they post signs on the side of the road for rental properties. What type of property are you looking for? quite a few of my in-laws have apartments in the Hull Bay area that are always looking for renters. Most don't use a lease and mainly require first and security deposit. You can PM me and I can check for you.

Thanks for remembering me from 14 years ago. I'm back on island now, and yes...I still do Marketing, Public Relations, and Events consulting. Currently seeking those who would benefit from my seasoned skills honed over 27 years, and also seeking residential rental somewhere near Tillett Gardens area. Must be safe, quiet area, have an ocean view; open to a 'share scenario,' if anyone know of anything. Priscilla Lynn
