Help! We leave for St Thomas Aug 1 and I need to ship our car and some household goods. I have been in touch with Meme St John but she is not returning my phone calls and emails. I know she is on Island time but moving our stuff before we get on the plane is kinda important. Anyone have any recommendations on other shipping companies that they have used to ship a car in a crate with household items, not just shipping a car?

I have been looking into the same thing. Crowley can ship your car from Port Everglades, Fl for around $1200. I am sure they can ship your household items as well. We live in Va, so our plan was to drive down to Fl, ship the car and fly out to VI from FL. Crowley seems to have the best prices. Just google "ship car to USVI Crowley" and the company will come up. Good luck.

I used Meme three years ago and she was most helpful. We had no problems. Sorry that's my recommendation.

I've never had an issue with Meme returning my calls or emails. I sure hope she is ok and hasn't been "Kidnapped" (sorry, I couldn't resist).:)
