Hi Newguy.

It's a small place so there isn't "lots" of anything. Daycare is available. There aren't a lot of neighborhood parks with swings and teeter totters but there are lots of terrific beaches and some of them are in National Parks. Most people who live here were born and reared here so the place is obviously family-friendly. Whether or not it will suit your idea of the environment in which you would like your child to be reared is something only you can determine. Folks relocate here with kids of all ages. Some are okay with the public schools but most with high school aged kids seem to prefer private schools. Have you been here and checked the place out, not as a vacation destination but as a potential place to live?
