Anyone used other ways to move their pets to the USVI's other then the commercial airlines?

I have been trying to find someone to share a chartered plane from FL west coast to STX. I am moving pets to STX, too. The return flight would be open for others looking to move pets from VI to FL. I'd like to fly before June 15 though.

PM me if you'd like cost/other information about charters.

There are other posts within the year on this that name a private airline that will transport pets if you run the search. Just can't recall the names. Also, private pilots.

Hello,
Did you get any information on charter for dogs. We too may be looking for a way to get our dogs there.

If all of us on this post went in together on a pet charter - it would bring it down to a reasonable cost.

I am still looking to share sometime this summer - I'm flexible at this point.

Flying out of Tampa area to STX. up to 8 seats but some would be removed for pet carriers, 1800 payload, $14,000 charter cost. 4.5 hours down. Turbo prop.

Small jet is $20,000.

We moved our dogs(5) and cats(3) here to STX in October of '12.

Traveled across the USA in our vehicles, which ultimately shipped here, in 5 days from California.

Consigned pets to: https://www.yelp.com/biz/bobbis-world-kennels-fort-lauderdale

They were delivered to: https://www.amerijet.com/ by the kennel.

Shipped here through San Juan all in about 8 hours.

You can make these arrangements by yourself, don't contact pet shippers as they get a big cut of the fees.

If I recall Bobbi's was $900 and Amerijet was about $2400.

Good Luck

Definitely a choice for us as well. Bobbi's is now Peace of Mind Pet Shipping and Resort.

I'm interested in sharing a charter flight but in November. Have a boxer that cannot go in cargo. Anyone else interested around that time frame?
