I agree.
I moved to FL after a lifetime here.
I'm not sure it's my cuppa tea but the "honeymoon phase" isn't over
After a year, I'll evaluate.
I've not burnt my bridges nor do I intend to.
Right now, it suits me.
Later...who knows?
Will I stay or will I go.
That decision will ultimately be mine.

Thing is that one shouldn't be afraid to make changes nor be afraid to admit to the fact, after the fact, that they may have made a mistake.
Life is for learning.

Now that you have your FL insurance you can come home to "vacation" anytime. My mom lives in Melbourne, can't stand the summers there, or spring or fall. Summer in STX will be cooler than FL lol. Maybe you can sublet one of the rooms in your house when you visit:D

I kept my downstairs apartment and truck there and rented main house so I can come and go, when necessary. I'll evaluate next year whether to rent that, too, stay here, move back, etc. Moving, packing and getting house ready to rent was a pain and more stressful than I anticipated, I'll have to say.

I'm looking forward to a bit warmer weather here in FL so I can use the pool! I've actually enjoyed the cool weather and have had little use of the central AC and heating systems. I'm sure that will change for the AC as
we get into the warmer summer months.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. 😉

Well at least you'll be able to turn on the AC in FL without watching the dollars fly out of your purse.

Do you have one of those pools with the cooler hooked to it to drop the water temp in summer?:D

No clue what that is.
I like warm water, tho so will see how it goes.
Water in pool is finally starting to warm up so maybe I'll get to swim, soon!

I do miss my cistern water, tho.
Need to get a water softener system!
Who knew!

Ah, hard water. Nothing beats the rain for software water. The pools may have heat pumps on the filter circulation line to heat in the winter and cool in the summer. I like warm water too but above 90F maybe not so much.
