Moving to USVI in a month

Hi everyone - thanks for your time....

My name is Brandon. I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be moving to the USVI at the end of November. I am in the process of selling most of my posessions, so that I can go the the islands with a few suitcases and some cash.

Here is where i need some help - I am trying to find a room for rent before i get there. I am also looking to get a few job leads. I currently work in television production and have very good experience. I am not necessarily looking for work in this field, but it is what I am most qualified in. I would sell ice cream on the beach if it could pay my rent.
Does anyone have any good job leads or contacts that would help me? Which island would be best for me to get a job on? Do you know of someone who is looking to rent out a room?

I would appreciate your help - and would definitely return the favor once i'm out there....

Peace,
Brandon

you can IM me through AOL at DigitalBlackwell

There is a really nice rental on St. Croix that I will be leaving. It is fully furnished with nice furniture, cable TV, etc. If you are interested, reply, or call me at 340-692-4178.

Hello Brandon,

Try contacting the TV stations before moving, get your resume faxed, see if they have any openings, get a contact name so you can follow up once you move.

If you are moving to St. Thomas I have a studio apartment which will be available 12/1/2004. Fully furnished including dishes, glasses, etc in kitchen, deck, swimming pool and some view. It is located in Frenchman's Bay. You can email me with any questions.

Gabriele: If you don't mind me asking, how much is the rent? I won't make it in time but would hope something like your offer pops up in May -- just wondering how much rent really is in St. Croix -- I can't seem to get any straight answers. Thanks in advance, K
