I am looking to relocate to St Thomas and want to purchase a condo. I have a great dog that has become part of my family. It seems most condo R & Rs will not allow even small dogs. Any ideas on condos?

Yes, Diane, most condos will NOT allow dogs. Check Seacliff Villas. One Small dog for owners, unless they have changed the rule.

Bill ( & Betty and Louie too!),

They do arrange for longer-term rentals. My dh and I are looking into that. We are moving to STX in June and will need to find something temporary until we secure more permanent housing. I knew about the animals because we are moving with a beagle and a small cat (as well as the other two animals we call children! LOL).

I am not familiar with Sandcastles... we looked at Cottages by the Sea when we were on-island in Feb. and they seemed quite nice... quiet and right on the beach. Just a few minutes drive outside of Frederiksted "proper".

Has anyone moved to the islands with a pet? Is there a quarantine? If so, how long. My 80lbs Lab is a queen and I'm not sure I could put her thru that.

Hello In Love with St. John,

Yes there are some folks on the board that have moved with pets (cats, dogs, I think a snake and I believe someone else had a bird).

No quarantine for dogs. If you click on Home Page at the top of this very page, from there you will see the option Moving with Pets - click there for more details.

Hi Bill,

If you are in search of another option, try the Hibiscus Beach Resort. I stayed there w/ my two 50lb pups in August and they were great. Web site is www.hibiscusbeachresort.com

Good luck and enjoy STX!

Reading Bill's Post, I took it to mean that some of the Republicans in DC are idiots. I would also assume he would agree that some of the Dems are idiots, too. Having visited DC, I agree with that. Some people are waaaayy to political up there. And, Susan, unless he typed "Susan is an idiot republican", I wouldn't take too much offense at it.

Entry: is

Everyone reads everything into E mails WOW generated lots of comments But now I get a shot... opinions are like a..holes everyones got one... I know lets rape the earth of anything we want in the name of $$ and capitalism and then trample the human rights of the minorities destroy the world due to inaccurate and wrong intelligence and increase the disparity of working poor and rich You tell me what I just defined !!
Which is why I love STX so -- everyone is on the same playing field, in this thing together and have their own story to tell

I can't wait to get started on STX where I will only have to deal with the territorial govt When a Neocon (translation idiot republican) new to my street approaches me (where I have lived for 15 yrs) and says they will pray for me because of who they think I am I reminded them to keep me out of their twisted world I thought republican-ism meant govt should stay out of your life Not unless you are a millionaire or a "chrtistian" You have every right to be a christian in this country -- but now if you aren't "there is something wrong with you" Shame on them
and I think Jesus would puke too Gosh are people stupid and they usually don't think for themselves
Does Daniel @ Hibiscus rent on long term basis w/dogs ?
