I have read on the message board that there are many more males than females on the islands. Do local men on the island respect the women and respect them if they are in a relationship or does the difference in gender population cause problems? I guess i am asking if single men on the island cause many problems among dating or married people?

It's like any other place you live, there's no difference. It's not some remote village.
