I have decided to move to VI, however i do have one concern that i can't find any info on. Child care. I am a single mother of a two year old boy. I understand employment is hard to find while still here in the main. I am a paramedic and am hopefull about healthcare jobs. my question is on childcare facilities or home providers. if you have any resources for me they would be greatly appreciated.

Please contact me at [email protected] I am considering relocating to the islands as well with two small children ages 6 and 8. I have actually been there 3 times in the past year. So contact me and maybe we can talk.

Hey Kimberly & Patz,

I was actually going to post a message on the board tonight about child care on STT. I have a 2 year old (well, almost), and am considering moving to STT. I'm headed to STT next week to check out the island. I plan to visit day cares & private schools, and will share my information on this message board when I get back.

I would appreciate any advice on day cares & private schools that's not on this website. I looked at the information on the website about the various schools, and plan to visit them all (time permitting). Regarding daycares, I have a list of the ones on STT, and just plan to call to see if they permit people to just stop by unannounced, then visit. I would appreciate any feedback about the daycares before my trip.

Hello,

There are several good daycares on St. Thomas that come to mind Little People's Learning Center and The Open Classroom are two (I can't remember the third one that I have heard good things about) and Montessori, Sts. Peter and Paul and Antilles I think have a pre-K program.
