Ok - this is an example of my vanity! 😉 I'm moving to STX on the 17th. Can anyone recommend a nail salon that does sculptured/acrylic nails? I've had them forever so I don't want to take them off.

Thanks!

Hi!

I think that there is a good nail place at the Golden Rock Shopping Center next to Pueblo.

Good Luck!

My wife has had no luck finding a place that caters to her needs.

The one in Golden Rock kept telling her that she was next up until another person that they knew walked in and bumped her back another person. After 45 minutes of this my wife walked out. It's supposed to be a fun thing that relaxes her (a splurge) not something that should have her coming home in a bad mood.

My wife tried the Buccaneer and was not impressed at all on her pedicure, she says its the worst she ever had at the highest price she's ever had (including downtown DC).

She said she heard that the new spa at Carambola is supposed to be fantastic but hasn't tried it yet.

This is second hand so take it for what it's worth, a friend of mine went to the Salon by Johnny Mango's I believe and actually contracted nail fungus that she had to get a prescription to treat.

Sorry to be Debbie Downer on ths one, my wife has just decided that getting her nails done is something she'll have to trade away for now as part of living in paradise.

I just want to add something about stiphy's post. There are two salons by Johnny Mango's on STX. One is a quick in and out kind of place like the one at Golden Rock. The other is Indulgence Salon, where you can't beat the hair cuts or nail treatments. Their pedicures take 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours. If they haven't gone up, it's $50, but for almost 2 hours of decadence....I say worth it! I don't have acrylics and don't do regular manicures, but I'm sure they are in the average range for a full service salon. Stay away from the quick places. I've done that a couple of time, when in a hurry, and it hurts!
