Need Info on relocating

Hey there kind people - i would really love to find myself in the VI for this coming winter and perhaps longer .... im not sure of where to look for cheap apartments or people who need roomates... im not even sure on which island to set up shop. My working skills include kitchen and garden .... im more then efficient at both - although im not sure what to expect from the job market there, i havent had much luck on the internet i feel like i may do better finding a job there then from a box here. If anyone has any bit of advice what so ever on this subject i would really apprectiate it
