Hi everyone,

I need recommendations for a lawyer on STX that will be able to assist me with legal action against one of the major auto dealers on STX. I've found that most websites are outdated, and the few that are still around are already working for the auto dealer.

I am also looking for any other residents who have been scammed by a large STX auto dealer ... primarily selling vehicles without legal titles and refusing to refund down payments. I've heard stories but am hoping to find others willing to join in a lawsuit against these scammers.

If under $10,000, I take it to small claim courts. Cost you less than $100 to file, have hearing in less than 60 days.

I witnessed a case similar and the person who was suing the other person for the amount of a car they purchased was successful.

Simple to do, as you prepare a statement like:

On xxxxJan 2013, I purchased a car for xxxxxx dollars from JA XXXXXX Auto(exhibit 1 , copy of bill of sales). However, when I went to register the vehicle, I was unable since JA XXXXXXXx was not the owner as represented to me when I purchased the car.

Request court award me XXXXXXx purchase price and all court cost .

Have the address of the dealer when you go to court on Centerline Road. When you go, ask to see a clerk for small claims court. The clerks will give you required form to fill out(ie you will be writing the statement above and attaching the bill of sales or other documents.

If its as straightforward as you say and it was purchased by a licensed dealer, you will be successful.

Good luck.
