Hello Everyone
Chris and I have a fantastic opportunity to crew on a sailboat going to Trinidad. The trip is going to take a month to six weeks since we're going to island hop all the way down. After that we're going back to the states to visit family and friends for the rest of the summer and don't plan on being back on island until fall sometime.
So....
We need a place to store a Dodge Durango. We've checked with several of the storage places on island and while we're willing to pay to have the car stored, we'd prefer to pay a little less than what they're charging (of course) as well as possibly contribute a few extra bucks to someone who lives here who may happen to have some extra space where the car could sit reasonably securely. If anyone is interested or knows anyone please PM me or e-mail me at [email protected]
Also, Chris would be willing to sell the car. It's a 1998 Dodge Durango with 1xx,xxx miles. Very clean and well maintained. 4 wheel drive so it goes anywhere and has lots and lots of room in back for carting luggage for all the visiting friends and family. I believe he'd ask around $6,000, but I'm sure that figure is negotiable.
The only other thing we have that we'd like to get rid of is an eight month old sofa. It's grey microfiber and has a pull out bed. It was bought new for $900 and any reasonable offer won't be refused.
Thanks for taking the time to read my overly long message.
Kate

Howdy from Oregon, I will be travel nursing from June 1 to sept 5-6 and will need a vehicle. I am safe and sane, great driving record, 38 yo. I could save you storing cost and you could save me rental/ buying hassle and your car would be ready and waiting for you when you return. I'm very serious! [email protected] thanks Janet

Thanks for the reply Janet, but the car is already sold. However, if you need a sofa sleeper we still have that to take care of. Not sure what kind of gas mileage it gets though ;-]
