Hey everybody the excitement is building everyday, it's harder and harder to wipe the smile off my face. I'm gunna thive in 05 and it's gunna be good to be alive! I don't know if I am prepared for all the happiness but it's about time.

I wanted to know what to do on Friday and Saturday January 7th and 8th. First thing I'm gunna do is hit the beach, of couse, but in the evening I would like to have some safe fun:) Any ideas? I know there is an adult parade on Friday, where and what time? And an art exhibit.

I'm looking for cool people and good music, reggae, hiphop, jazz, calypso. I'm close to the airport so late night safety is an issue. Thanks for the info.
Peace, Elise

Hello Elise,

On Friday you might check out Greenhouse in CA & on Saturday Stereo & Betsy's in Frenchtown; not to far from the airport area. Take taxis to & from the bars, unless you have a car.

The Children's parade is the Friday and Adults on Saturday... they are on St. Croix, not St. Thomas. You can take the ferry over and back for the day. They both start at 10:00a.m. in Frederiksted.

Ferry Schedules: http://www.vinow.com/general_usvi/interisland_ferry/

On Sunday afternoon (around 2:30pm until 5:30pm) you might go to Sapphire Beach, they have a local band that plays there at the beach bar.

I suggest you pick up a handle of cruzan and go from there. Depending on where you're staying, I'd go over to STJ and hit up woodys happy hour, then catch the ferry back to stt and do the ol' red hook pub crawl.
