Hi All,

First let me say this board is GREAT!! Found it a few days ago and have already obtained a wealth of information. Big Thanks to All!!!

We just returned from our second trip to STT (guess you could call it our PMV) and have decided to relocate.

I was wondering if any of you know what if any opportunities exist for a Healthcare Consultant on the Isalnd(s). I have greater than 20 years experience (24 to be exact) on both the payor and provider side. Am very well versed in Commercial insurance as well as traditional FFS Medicare, Medicare Advantage, MAPD and PDP (Compliance, Ops, Customer Service, Government Relations, Appleals and Grievances). I hold my Masters in Healthcare Administration and am currently consulting (long term, my contract expires in a few months) with a Medicare Advantage plan in San Juan. I work from home 2 to 3 weeks per month and am on-site in PR 1 to 2 weeks per month.

Any and all information, leads, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Mary

If you can't find anything immediately int he VI, could you extend your contract with PR? They are right next door. Just a thought.

Island Ed,

Thanks for your response. One of the pitfalls to consulting is that you literally "work yourself out of a job". I am currently only a few months away from bringing the projects that I was hired to complete to fruition. Although I have many contacts on the mainland (most specifically NY), I would love to find a project close to my new home.

Any suggestions on who to contact on the island(s) would be greatly appreciated, as I would like to start networking now.

Thanks,
Mary
