Does anyone know if Nextel cell phone service works in ST. John ??

No Nextel servie here. It might roam on another services tower (Cingular, Sprint) you would need to call customer service for Nextel and ask.

Your welcome, do call your customer service, hopefully you get a straight answer. Lots of folks have gone back and forth with Verizon reps as to whether their services works, or not, or with charges or without.
If you will be charged roaming and long distance find out $$$, might be a good idea to get a calling card if the cell charges are going to be a lot.
