Seems this year worse than ever and the constant rains hasn't helped.

I have to wear Deet below the knees even in the house.
My older mom comes for a visit and nothing bites her. Go figure.

Last week I was outside at a friends house way up on the mountainside above Lavalle and hardly had a nibble.

Not to worry. Sold it last week.

Tippi & Neil;
I was referring to the fly population. I already know the 'skeeters' are bad...

Nova if you figure out how to get rid of those nasty ass skeeters You'll be a millionaire, it seems nothing can keep them off of a person. I can't ever recall them being this bad.

Sorry. Not up on PBS. Fox, yes. All I want to know is if you have flies. Out here in the desert, we have lots of 'em. With any luck and some money, I'll be there in September....
Hope springs eternal....

Also, lots of other critters that make life interesting, and life-threatening... Like scorpions coming up out of the kitchen sink...

LOVE the Nova....HATE the critters! Was going through a blissful week long+ lull in activity until last night...as usual at 3am when I'm finally tired enough to sleep....and (OH YEAH!!) not 1...or 2...but 3 nice big ones come from all directions in the (semi) dark (yes, I'm chicken) within mins. of each other. Pokemon, the feline centipede slayer was up for the challenge...great!...'till I damn-near killed myself tripping over him with #2 not seeing #3. (I'm so over this.) :-X

ps. #3 was taking steroids.
