I enjoyed your forum. All your posts and so helpful and valuable for making the move. Unfortunately my unability to get a job from mainland made things a little bit to risky (to show up and assume i will get a job). However I got a job and am moving to key west! So hopefully I can come visit and move down maybe in 5-10 years lol. Just thought I would say thanks to all the people that took time out of their lives to answer questions about moving to the island 🙂

key west is nice too. lots to do there and you can drive somewhere, granted it will take you 3 hours to get to miami, but still....

One of the most pleasant drives I ever made was Miami to Key West in a convertible.

Key West was on our "short list" when deciding where to start a new chapter in our lives. Great architecture! I still enjoy some of the Key West real estate blogs. Best of luck with the move and your new job.

We also thought about Key West. Decided against it because of prices and the hot summers. Not sure how we decided STX would be better!!
