My wife and I were in STX in 2011-2012 and I worked as a travel nurse in the ER at JFL. I have since become a Nurse Practitioner and we have the itch to return. The reasons are obvious, but we have two young sons and want them to enjoy the beauty and lifestyle we loved before they start school.

Anyway, is there anyone who knows of a "locum tenens" or part time need for an NP on any island? We could settle for anything from 2 weeks to 6-12 months of work. I was thinking maybe a walk-in clinic or urgent care may need a seasonal worker for a few months? Or maybe someone on maternity leave? Or who knows what... My skill set is somewhat varied but I can do ER's, walk-in clinics, urgent care, family practice. I have reached out to some of the more popular staffing agencies.

This site provided so much assistance to me the first time I came, I thought I would reach out and see if anyone could help. Thanks!

On St Thomas, check with SRMC for ER: http://www.rlshospital.org/Home.aspx
Also, Red Hook Family Practice is a big multi-provider clinic. East End Clinic is a federally funded clinic. If you call one place, ask for referrals to someone else who can help.

Thanks. I have even thought about calling one of the urgent care centers and see if they need a second or third provider during the high season, that would work great for me. Thanks for your help.
