Just wanted to say that I'm moving on June 3rd. Utterly worn out from selling my house, car, packing, etc. Think I'll sleep for the first week. Too tired to get excited at this point but I'm sure I'll get excited on the plane. Right now the though of unpacking on the other end makes me want to curl up in a little ball and whimper! Still stewing about the lack of concensus or consistent application of the excise tax policy... can't seem to let it go! I looked at the actual form (form 721 V.I.). It's from 1982. The law changed in 1993. The form used clearly asks for "description of merchandise". Well! Doesn't that settle it? I'm not shipping items for sale or manufacturing, I'm shipping personal possessions for my own use. Arrrgh.

Welcome to the Virgin Islands where one should never - ever - try to apply simple logic!
