Can I get a post office box on main st.,etc. on STT before I actually get to VI???And how would I do it from stateside????

Lora,
I don't think you can get a PO box until you get here. There are forms to sign and money to change hands. I may be wrong. Check with your local post office and see what they say. It's all USPS.

You need to check with the private mail box services. Check prior posts for the process.

I believe the HipCrip was able to set up a mailbox prior to her arrival.

Call 340-779-1890 Red Hook Mail Services on the east end or 340-776-5630 Flagship on the other side of town. Both are private mail boxes and can be arranged by phone/fax or email.

Mailboxes Etc. at Sunny Isle will let you get a box prior to moving and you can do it all over the telephone. 340-719-5131. I did this and they were extremely helpful and very nice. You have to be living here to get a P.O. Box as well as telephone, cable and utilities. You have to have your documentation with you showing where you are living and meet with everyone in person.
