I'm surprised no one's talking about this yet. Hurricane Hunters are investigating this weather system today. Present tack puts the storm over us late Tues/Wed. Uncertain as to whether it will be only a tropical storm or cat 1 at the time. Check out http://www.stormcarib.com or http://www.stormpulse.com for more info.

Voyage charters in the BVI have called in all the yachts and put them on the hard. I understand Conch charters is doing the same. CYOA posted on a different site yesterday that they may start bringing in the boats today but haven't heard more.

We have a charter on board until Tuesday and are waiting for the storm to be named before we bring the guests back.

We should know soon. I hear hurricane hunters are the way now.

It's amazing how this system seems to have fizzled out. Last night for sure it looked like it was developing into something big. 8pm advisory still gives it a 90% chance to reach TS status. Hurricane hunters had problems with transmitting data so they will fly in again tomorrow morning.

Looks like rain and little else. And it sure did fizzle fast!

Now it looks like it's trying to get its act together again. By tomorrow morning we should see more definitively what it wants to do.

Bring it on. I bought a new radio and a bunch of batteries (especially for the battery powered fans). Filled up all the water jugs. Closed the one storm shutter that is difficult to get to. The rest of them take about 15 minutes to close. Will buy gas for the generator tonight. Got the hurricane lamps ready. Have four new books to read.
