There are pet sitting businesses on island- STT.
STX too, according to this craig's list link but a good referral from your Vet is better.
I've seen other brochures and cards at the Vet's office but those were the only 2 on Craig's List.

If I was going off-island, I'd prefer a house sitter to care for the animals as I wouldn't want to be paying someone to come only once or twice a day and have the animals unattended overnight or for a long duration. If that is the case it's probably cheaper and safer to board them. I was surprised at pet $itting price$.
