Can someone please advise me as to what pharmacies are available on any of the islands, and what towns they are in? Hopefully there is a Walgreens, or CVS, or Rite Aid, so our prescriptions would follow on computer there. Thank you for your help. Bart

No, no and no, I know of no chain store pharmacies on either St Thomas or St Croix. KMart comes as close to a chain pharmacy that you will find. There are several independent pharmacies here. You can find them by looking in the phone book

And as an aside, I would not recommend K-Mart, at least on St Thomas. There is always a long line to leave prescriptions, pick them up or just to ask a simple question. The smaller places like Chelsea Drug Store are much more user friendly. I really don't have any stock in this place, it is just one of the few businesses around here that is worth touting! 🙂

Medicine Shoppe in Sunny Isle, Stx is a chain, I believe. A bit more expensive than Kmart, but a shorter wait and they're pretty quick.

i love USave Pharmacy (Mt. Welcome Pharmacy) on st. croix. it's small and personal and really fast. they're really nice there. My dad uses Diamond Pharmacy and loves it too (great owners). I have gone to Plaza Extra but it always takes awhile - i would imagine they would take the most insurances. I loathe having to go to Golden Rock Pharmacy - the lines are always so long and it takes forever to fill the prescription.

USave Pharmacy (Mt. Welcome Pharmacy across from Canegata ball park also has a discount program: $20/year membership and $10 for a month supply, $20 for a 3 month supply of lotst of common medications and 10% discounts on other generics not on their list. Worth checking out.
