Can anyone tell me if there are any Podiatrists available on STT? I am UK Board Certified. I am coming to STT on a year contract with a company that is not involved with Podiatry but I am desperatley hoping I can continue to practice on a part time evening basis. Can anyone give me any info on what the chances of getting patients will be?.. I really dont want to get out of the swing of things...

Tnere is a guy named Kenneth Fox who is a podiatrist- he may be here only part time. The office phone number is 340-774-8819. There is also at least one podiatrist who works for the Health department. We have a population prone to diabetes and could certainly use podiatric care. I have no idea what licensing is like, but probably through Health- 340-774-0117 for the Commissioner's office.

Twelve years later... It looks like there are three podiatrists practicing on STT. Has anyone visited any of them? Looking for any recommendations; thanks.

I used K. Fox many years ago and can't say that I have anything positive to say about him. I, personally, would never use him again. You can PM me for details.

And there are so many attention needing feet on this island that we could use 100 podiatrists on a full time basis.

Thanks for the feedback. Anybody have experience with Drs. Gail Rucker or Maya Atta?

fdr: I haven't personally gone to Dr. Rucker-yet- but a friend felt she was thorough and helpful. This was not for surgery.
