I am moving to the island soon, and I had someone claim that they could leave a car for me with the port authority. They claim that when I arrive, I could call the port authority to have it released to me. I have never heard this before. Is this a normal process/service?

at the top of the page you will see tabs. one of them says general, under that heading it says cars. read that.
my car was shipped from miami to st croix. we used crowley. in order to get the car, we had to pay duty and taxes. i dont remember what else we had to do. was so long ago.
but read the drop down i suggested for more info

I'm not shipping a car. Someone has a car on the island, and they are claiming that they can leave it at the port authority for me to pick up.
