first of all,my sincere prayers to all on st. john and st. t.i can only hope and pray that you and. your families are safe ........this question seems so trite now...but worried about appliances etc. HAS ANYONE ELSE IN COTTON VALLEY BEEN EXPERIENCING FREQUENT POWER SURGES THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE AFTERNOON AND EVENING?

What do you mean by surges? Is the power cycling on/off quickly or are you seeing the lights go brighter? Surges are short duration high voltage spikes not detectable without measuring equipment. But they can be caused by power cycling on/off, when motors and other large equipment turn on/ff, by lightning strike near the power lines.

guess i used the wrong terminalogy. the lights have been flickering on and off,quite noticeably,all day.

Better call WAPA. Could be loose connections somewhere or something shorting out across the lines.
