We are a cpl in our late 40' and early 50's, kids are grown and we just don't like the cold anymore. We have visited the turks and caicos islands and both love the Caribbean weather. We are planning a short PMV some time in August . We found this site and read numerous messages and we like this venue. So if any one has any helpful tips it would be much appreciated. We now live in Maryland .

Thanks,
johnnyandheidi

Other than reading "numerous messages" you've hopefully also read the vast amount of information available in the drop-down menus top of this page. As far as "tips" are concerned, everybody's expectations, wants and needs are highly subjective but the main thing you should do on your PMV is go about your days here much as you would do at home - shopping, errands, etc. - and not in beachfront accommodation lazing on the sand! If jobs are on the agenda, carefully look at what's available in your field; carefully look at COL, compare prices, etc. Good luck!

we have lots of opinions too

it is best to read as much as you can and then come back and ask questions.

2 questions though.

do you need jobs to live here and do you have major health issues?

Unless of course that's part of your long term plan. It's not beyond the realm of possibility.:D

We would most def need jobs we are just poor ole working people, but we have no health issues other than I have built up a allergic reaction to the cold weather 🙂

You don't need "major" health issues to take the subject seriously. We are NOT covered under the AHCA and individual health insurance is impossible to find at anything other than an incredibly high cost. Just something to bear in mind.
