Looking to make a pre move visit to STX either the end or march or the end of april depending on when I can get days off of work. Im looking for somewhere to stay that won't hurt my wallet to much (since the airfare is super xpensive) and that will really give me an idea of what island life is like. Would prefer to be somewhat near the hospital since thats where I will be working. Besides lodging any other advice on things to accopmlish during my pre move visit would be much appreciated. Thank you

i dont know where to tell you to stay during your pmv, but there are places for rent by the hospital for once you do get here. call pam at coldwell banker for long term ( longer than pmv ) accommodations. i don't know the number but i am sure you can find it on line. she works out of the gallows bay office

Not really near the hospital, but I might suggest the Waves of Cane Bay. The units Have kitchens, which is a plus. Another place nearer the hospital would be Gentle Winds.

Good luck. Be sure to stop at Off the Wall for a cold one.

hi there

Even closer to the hospital is Questa Verde condos. They are about 2 miles from the hospital, and on the "taxi van" route so if you don't have a car you can get to the hospital cheaply. Gentle Winds and The Waves are lovely, but they are about a half an hour drive to the hospital.

If you are interested in Questa Verde condos, send me a private message and I'll give you the contact info for a couple of people who have their units for rent.

One bedroom apartment on the north shore will be put into the short term rental pool in April. Have pictures if you are interested. Is there a way to private message on this site? Quiet place 20 minutes to hospital. .
We stayed in many areas before we eventually bought on the North Shore. Good way to check out other parts of the island before jumping in for work convenience.
Good views, balcony, kitchen, small living area, washer.
