On STT, call Genie Lupo at USVIP Villa Rentals (340) 774-0888 and tell her Island Ed referred you. She is hands on for Villa rentals and management. She may cover STJ as well.

VRBO (Villa Rental By Owner) is, as it's name suggests, a self rental service to save the management fee. They are worldwide and their website (www.vrbo.com) explains how they work. However, they are based in STT, Susan Baker is the General Manager and she is at (340) 776-8694... also tell her Island Ed referred you. You will still need to provide services such as cleaning, maintenance and repair, provisioning, etc on your own as well. I believe you can get a service to provide these without negotiating for rentals, and Susan may also be able to help with that for on island rentals.

The main person who does that on island is Nancy McLaughlin. I use VRBO for my small vacation rentals and I find it is a very effective advertising tool. What questions do you have about it?

Hi there!

We have been renting our St Croix villa on VRBO since late January and have been pleased with the hits and inquiries! I've actually got us on 8 or so websites - Homeaway seems to be the best so far! PM me for more info!

Best of luck!!

I have found two young men getting started in the business and have turned my duplexes over to them. They are hard workers and gave us a hand when renovating our place. If you would like more information please email me directly and I can get you in contact with them
Thanks
Kim
