can someone explain what delegate christenson is trying to do in congress about property taxes and the exemptions she wants and if this is good or bad, i'm not sure i'm understanding it.

If you go to our online newspaper, St Thomas Source, and do a search there on property taxes and then go to the Open Forum and search likewise, you'll find pretty much all the information you're looking for. I'm sorry I can't be of more help other than directing you. It's a complicated issue which I'm not qualified to answer but, from what I've read, our Delegate to Congress has already made some headway in addressing some sweeping U.S. legislation which is detrimental to property owners in the USVI.

But you might also want to check the Source. Different viewpoints and Source respondents via the Open Forum more often than not shed significant light on current events than does the Daily News. Read on!
