OK, I really resisted posting here about this, but I need help. Where on St. Croix do you go for nice lingerie, i.e. silk pj's, peignoir sets, etc. I am NOT looking for Frederick's of Hollywood!;) I tried everything at Sunny Isle...nothing...there is a store in Sunshine Plaza with a couple of nice things, but just a couple. Not quite right. Is there anything in C'sted?

Of course, if any of you guys know anything about this, please chime in!

Thanks

The mature section?:P

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already looked at a lot of stuff online, but I don't really have time to wait for shipping. Ebay can be very slow. It's for the next production at CCT. The Lone-Star Love Potion . It opens July 25.

So, Yearasta, after I posted my response to you (above), I thought, why not? Maybe someone will ship next day or something if I pay more. So I figured out how to get to the mature section. Where the heck did you send me???

I found cemetary plots, cremation urns and risque novelties!:-o

Is that "mature" as in naughty and over 21, or ladies of a certain age?

I once bought a Halloween costume at "Ruel's Risque Wear", in the corner of where Plaza Extra is (C'sted side). They seemed to have quite a variety of stuff, besides the obvious. Not for the timid - I thought I was back in Amsterdam!

Sabrina,
At first I thought Yearasta was talking about ladies of a certain age. The mature section of ebay is for both old and naughty! A lady at one of the stores I tried suggested Ruel's as she winked, patted my hand and said they had something for any occasion.

Juanita, there is a shop over in the Frederiksted Mall that carries lingerie. I am sorry I cannot think of the name right now. They advertise often in the paper when they list the West is Best shops. Can anyone think of the name to help out? Good luck!

Juanita - a couple of suggestions:
The boutique at the Buccaneer hotel might have something useful for your purpose.
There is a wedding dress store across from Plaza Extra West (I think it is called Jayne's??) that has a section of nice lingerie. It is behind the little store across centerline from Plaza - drive around behind and you should see it - it is a large store.
Also, did you check K-mart west for the silk PJ's - they might have something that would work.
Good luck!

divinggirl;
I went to Jane's. Beautiful things. They didn't have what I need, but only because they didn't have the size I need in the style I want, but not only the lingerie was gorgeous, but the evening gowns and dress clothes too. I haven't see so many really nice things in one place in a long time. I will go back there when I want something special.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did buy something at Kmart that will work. I won't take the tags off until the last minute, so if I find something I like better, I'll just take it back. But, at least the pressure is off.

Glad to hear you have something that will work! I stumbled on to Jane's a few years ago when it was much smaller. The new location has a lot of nice stuff and the staff is very helpful.

I borrowed a robe, which I like much better than the Kmart one I bought. If you want to see it, you will have to come to the Caribbean Community Theater production of The Lone-Star Love Potion, which opens Friday night, July 25. Also runs Saturday night and Sunday matinee. Night shows are at 8:00 and the matinee is at 4:00.

Same schedule next weekend.
