Hi - I am new to the board and I am seeking advise on getting a real estate license in the USVI. I have been selling in the states for most of my adult life, but I am sure things are different down there! I have seen the requirements, but I am looking for any real life help in terms of getting a job, difficulty of the test, how to sign up for classes...really anything that would help. I am coming down in late January/ early Feb to start talking to brokers and figure out where I can live while trying to pass the test.

Hello Beth,
Just wanted to add the link to the requirements you mentioned incase anyone else was interested in looking them over. They can be found at http://www.dlca.gov.vi/recrequirements.htm on the Dept. of Licensing website.
Hopefully someone else will help out with the first hand info.

Feel free to call me to discuss the process. I went through it recently enough that I can give you a pretty good idea of what to expect. Like anything else in the USVI, the "rules" explain only part of what it takes to get licensed. Then there is the reality.
