I'd definitely go with Mitsubishi mini-splits. From our experience, they use less electricity than a ceiling fan. Sorry not sure what dealer on island carries them. Big, big difference in our bill using them instead of the fans. Installer has since retired, so not sure who you'd need to call. Hope someone else will have an answer.

I had a Mitsubishi mini split and it was an expensive piece of junk.
It never worked properly and I was constantly calling the distributor/installer to come to repair it.

I finally had enough. I replaced it with a Frigidaire mini split from Pricesmart, 4 years ago, at a quarter of the cost of the Mitsubishi unit and haven't had a problem since with the air conditioner. There was no noticeable change in my electric bill between the 2 systems but they both did affect/increase my WAPA bill when used during the summer months. I don't need to use it at all, usually between Nov.- May.

Don't use OTL--many of their units come from Japan--a friend has been waiting 4 months for a part.

I would highly recommend Scott Hiddleston at Air Pro. He's a great guy, fair pricing and excellent service. 402-541-8180

The two Mitsubishi mini splits in my condo are at least 7 years old and are running just fine. (knock on cocoanuts)
