Is anyone familiar with the school systems in St. Thomas. I am desperatley seeking info on both private and public education there. Myself and my husband, along with 2 elementary children are relocating and wondering if relocation would be to a private or public school. Private i know is spendy but we would consider it if only locals attend the public school systems... I am desperate for answers as we are looking to move ASAP..... THANKS in anticipation.....

Public schools are not the best. Teacher turnover, lack of supplies, under spending on facilities are big issues. Sibilly is a public elementary that is supposed to be good. The private schools are good - Montessori, Antilles, All Saints, St. Peter and Paul to name a few.

Rachel,

I posted a message in early June re: daycares & private schools. I was in STT the first week of June checking out the island for a possible move. I visited a number of private schools & a couple of daycares at that time. I posted my comments shortly thereafter.

Good Luck!

Ansley
