We sold everything and moved to our boat-no going back to frozen h*** oHIo!
Best laid plans of mice and men sometimes go awry....

Our "children" were misserable onde boat and like an anchor tied to our ankles so we bought a house in Florida. Got married barefoot on Cheney beach and sold de bote.
This place gets under your skin so I know we will be back-but not until we can afford to buy a home ashore! Met a lot of wonderful people here! See you later....

Good Luck to you.

Florida is a great place to live - no income taxes but gators and large snakes

Port Charlotte.
They are giving away houses in FL.

They tell me the freeze this year has killed off a lot of non native invasive flora and fauna.

It's nice here but it definitive isn't STX. 🙁

Life can be good here in the islands. But it needs to be done at the right time in your life.

Good Luck.

Port Charlotte is the only place in FLA I would consider living. Make the best of it, your kids should dig it.
