I am considering relo, currently i am in sales, building materials/construction(12 yrs). Does anyone know if there is a demand for my experience? My better half is an RN and is looking into what that entails, but we both need work.

You could probably go to work for Home Depot. Other than that, there's not a whole lot of call for that here, no matter the island.

Have your RN check: http://www.srmedicalcenter.org/ for ideas on St Thomas and St John. There are other ideas as well: skilled nursing, home health, home hospice, physician offices, school nursing, etc.
I can't help with the building part, but it seems that industry is in a slow down phase.
