Hi All,

We're down staying in our 2nd home. Was here in March. What happened over at Sapphire? No restaurant, no beach party on Sunday, was very dead. Even the jetski guys at the Marina were no where to be found. Where to go for jetskis?

Met Jeff yesterday who owns Delly Deck, ate there this morning. Great meeting others from KC. We are originally from there but now reside in Texas & Nevada.

Going to see Marcus Johnson's concert at the University tonight. Anything else going on this week while we are here?

If you research this forum you'll get the answer to the Sapphire Beach bars/restaurants issue, which is still not resolved and is in litigation. Sorry not to say more but this was already discussed and I don't feel like re-hashing! Cheers!

I've searched and searched - can't find a thing. Would anyone be willing to PM me the link to the thread if you can located it? Very interested in Sapphire goings on. Used to live there waaaaay back - remember it before the resort was there.....I think there were some condos on the beach....a saltwater pool by the beach...........dune buggies on the beach, etc. Hoping the temporary restaurant closure will drive the ducks to another home and out of the pool. Bad health issues there.

I found the thread over on the Travel Channel 😉

I think you remeber the Crystal Cove area- the pond and original condos. But dune buggies on the beach? Hmmm, sounds like predecessors to jet skis!

EE, not sure what I recall - all fuzzy and fleeting now - only flashes here and there. Was around 1975-76. Did Crystal Cove have a saltwater pool behind it? I recall the pool being behind the building and being saltwater.

Thanks for the link.

Bluwater,

Yes, it's me. Part vacationing, part working. Was here in March & Jan and it appears some things have changed. Will go read the thread. Thanks.
