Hi,

I am looking to get satellite internet, as backup to BBVI. Can anyone recommend any dealer to work with, for either Exede or Hughesnet satellite internet?

Thanks,
Brandon

I have satellite internet, Excede, back in the states and it is crap
Very slow, very undependable, very sensitive to weather conditions, very expensive
You have a usage cap and as you get closer to the max then it really starts getting slow

It is crap. I looked into Hughesnet back in the states. Not only is it slower than slow they wanted $600.00 for the modem.

You're best backup for any internet as far as Innovative or BBVI or any internet connection that has a terrestrial connection is getting an AT&T or Sprint hotspot. Satellite internet is ridiculously expensive and not something you should ever consider buying unless you live where there are ZERO other options. This is definitely just my opinion of course.

I agree with TommySTX 100%. And you might look at cell-based hotspot sub-services that are strictly pay-as-you-go such as Karma -- where you pre-pay a set price by Gb -- and it never expires....no monthly charges or other costs and works anywhere after the initial $100 purchase of the little gizmo.
