Living in upstate NY, I own a seaplane and am planning on moving to St Thomas. I would love to fly my seaplane down. I need information on landing fees, when/where i can take off, ect. Any information would be great.

You probably need to call the FAA 1st and the Port Authority 2nd, Customs 3rd.

Hello,

The only place there is a Seaplane taking off from right now on St. Thomas is in Charlotte Amalie; it is the Seaborne Seaplane Business. There are private Cesnas and others at the airport in a private area.

You can find information at the Port Authority's web site at

http://www.viport.com/

You might call them and ask where, when, how, questions.

Pilot: You might check with the Seaborne people-www.seaborneairlines.com- they might have the inside line for you... There is also a seaplane business in the BVI, but their float planes have wheels, so they can land at the airports, also!!
