An incident at a substation earlier today caused power outages for a section of Feeder 8B. Presently, a section of Feeder 8B affecting Estates Ross, Wintberg, Peterborg, St. Joseph & Rosendahl; the UVI campus, the Ridge Road feeder on the southeastern end of St. Thomas and Tutu Park Mall are without electric service. The Ridge Road feeder serves the area from the entrance of the National Park in Red Hook to Cabrita Point including Vessup Bay. Approximately 1,900 customers are affected.

WAPA plant personnel are working to restore electrical service.
