On average, how long does it take one to secure a job once they have moved to the islands?

( i.e working as a waitress or bartender ( I do both) )

1-2 months I would budget. Sometimes 1-2 weeks but you will definitely have a job within 2 months, most likely within a month

Hello Abigail,

If its working as a waitress or bartender then the beginning months of season would be your better bet. Season runs from Nov through late May. During off-season we also get visitors, the numbers are just less. Aug-Sept are the slowest months.
