Does anyone know about the Senior West Indian lady on the east end of STX that is often at the curve by Cheeseburgers. She has a walking cane, dressed to the 9s and usually has packages? Sometimes she is standing beside the street yelling at cars that go by and sometimes she is in the middle of the street and does not move for traffic. The other day she was in the middle of the street banging her cane up and down fussing about something. I am so afraid she is going to get hit by a car.

Yes,
I've picked her up on many occasions.I can't get her name.I have asked. She talks to herself while I take her to Christensted. She seems harmless, but does stand in the road. She doesn't seem to have bus fare, but the bus stops for her regularly.Give her a ride if you see her walking.

Thanks Doug. The first time I saw her I stopped and asked if she needed help but she just waved her cane and was talking loud and angry so I didn't know what to do. I will offer her a ride next time. Part of me worried that she had dementia and maybe had wandered out of her house.

Yeah she isn't very lucid. She talks to her self and counts out numbers, I picked her up and she had to go to WAPA to pay her bill. I was only going to Golden Rock but I could'nt just drop her off so I took her to WAPA. They moved to Innovative so we went there. I helped her out of the car and took her in and showed her where to go. No thankyou or blessing, oh well. Now if I pick her up I usually drop her at the bus stop next to the Csted PO and listen to her ramble.

She will get injured sooner or later, she starts from way down the road to great pond where are those sharp curves are. Its sad she doesn't have family to keep a better care of her. I frequently find her in the middle of the road around a blind curve in the morning.

I have seen her alot downtown. I am not sure what she does. She sometimes has on a large kentucky derby type hat on.

Yes you would think her family would keep a tighter rein on her. If she has a family at all.

She was at the curve by cheeseburgers again this morning. Red pants and yellow shirt. All dressed up. I guess she is waiting for a ride.
