I see they are dumping sewage again into the ocean:X
They should make them dump it into cesspool cleaning trucks and haul it to another station. I DON'T CARE WHAT THAT WOULD COST THEM! They should not be allowed to let this happen.

This doesn't just happen here. When I lived in Milwaukee and it rained hard they would pump sewage into Lake Michigan. I agree, it should not be allowed to happen anywhere, but it is a widespread problem.

I first visited STX in June 1974. I was impressed by the beauty....and the sewage odor at estate profit (Machu charlz), Beaston hill corner and near Angry Nates (Guthrie's) and Jones Maritime. The odor in those locations continues to impress 30+ years later. Happy New Year to all.

They just replaced the sewer line at Beeston Hill and are now fixing the road.

I think the smell near Angry Nates/Jones Maritime is due to the seaweed in the inlet there. There's also a major storm pipe draining the city storm gutters which flows under the street (and sometimes over it), and into the inlet. Water was still pouring down the road/gut a month after the big rain/flood.

Estate Profit sits in a flood plain which drains the center of the island into the marsh around the Anguilla trash dump (what my kids call "Mt Trashmore"). Lo-n-g time ago used to be several streams and a river in that area. I'm sure the goat farm there doesn't help. *-)
