So I just went to UPS to see how much it would cost to ship a medium size box... and they told me it would be $260. 00. Seriously!!! Anyone have suggestions on shipping or costs.
THanks in advance

I use United States Postal Service (USPS). Are you shipping to STT? Or, what island? If STT, another option would be DHL. They have an office/pick-up post adjacent to the airport.....on the south side of the airport.

illinois Teacher,
I have never found any bargains with UPS or FedEx, but if you can break that medium size box down to several smaller sizes you can use the US Postal Service alot cheaper., It takes a little longer but a big savings.

Send it priority mail and it will get to the VI in 4 - 7 days.

If you have a lot of stuff or big heavy items consider using EconoCaribe in Itasca. They send a truck each week to Miami and then it is sent LTC ( less than container load ) by boat to the VI and other islands.

Use the attached link to the Postal Service. I've sent many boxes and it cost me 30 to 60 dollars. It takes from 3 to 5 weeks and virtually no damage. I use the calculator and it usually is correct within $1. Use tracking, it helps.
