Can anyone recommend a good shipping company to ship my vehicle from Florida to St. Croix? I've emailed a few and only heard back from a couple. It's too expensive for me to keep calling different companies and being put on hold from the Bahamas. I heard VI Cargo was good but no one has gotten back to me yet and I've emailed them twice. I tried to call but the girl that answered said they are in a different dept and responds by email. I need to ship my car within the next two weeks. Thanks!

Tropical Shipping has offices, or at least agents, in the Bahamas. If they can't help you they can at least put you in contact with the Florida office.

Freeport: (242) 352-6921
Marsh Harbour: (242) 367-0225
Nassau: (242) 322-1012

The email address in West Palm Beach is [email protected]

Hope this helps!

If you have good internet, then try Skype. It's about 3 cents per minute to call the US.

We used VI Vargo - their Miami office - to ship our vehicle and had an excellent experience. Smooth process, reasonable price, excellent service. I’ve also used them several times for smaller items that I’ve ordered from the states (furniture and even items as small as bedding/quilts!) and have always had excellent service. Best of luck!

We just shipped with Blue Ocean Transport. Dropped our car off in Jacksonville. You can also deliver it to Miami, or they will pick it up for you. It's less expensive if you can drop it off. They provided good service.
