Bronchitits is AWFUL....im pretty sure i caught it from one of my friends.. I know of at least 8-10 people that are sick or have been sick in the last few weeks... congestion..wheezing...trouble breathing...and other nasty stuff 🙁

Anyone else notice a bug going around or am i just completely unlucky?

greetings and good morning

well it is running rampant here on the continent....makes sense that it would make its way to the VI....it is awful, i had it for a month. get antibiotics, i finally had to. drink lots of hot tea with honey as well....eat good hot soup too....nothing heavy atal. pau d arco capsules also help the excessive mucous in coming up (more so than mucinex). another hint is not to eat or drink any dairy products while ill as they are mucous builders.
hope you are well soon.

It's been awful DAMP the past week on StX.
Last night I said to the wife "the couch feels like it was just steamcleaned."
I'm allergic to dust mites, but sensitive to mold/mildew, and my sinuses -and the associated drip-drip-drip down the back of the throat have been working over-time ever since Omar. I'm prescribing beachtime, if it will just stop spritzing outside!

Plus, I imagine we will get some of the ash from the recent Monserrat blow. That won't help!

Something is going around, it started behind my eyes, then the sneezing and now the hacking. It sucks!

Sistah...Antibiotics are not a good idea unless you are sure its a bacterial inection. If its a virus, antibiotics wont do anything. Save the antiobiotics for only when you REALLY need them...not good to build any resistance to them....plus they also kill all the good bacteria in your digestive system...so then you have to eat alot of yogurt to get them back hehehhe. i was told not to eat dairy....but i didnt know that they were mucus builders!!! no more cheese for me!!!! As for the hot tea...im all over it!!! Green tea with honey and honey/methol/eucalyptos lozengers are my saviors...

There is a lot to be said for a pleasant 30-45 min. snorkel -- it clears out your sinuses -- do it when it is hot and sunny so you stay warm. The salt water often breaks up the congestion - you may also be able to find some helpful bush tea at the local markets.

greets cory

i absolutely agree about the antibiotics. i have not taken them but four times in 18 years, all four times it was an infection that my herbs and so would not cure.
give thanks for the heads up still.

Try Mucuex at e drug store. It gets rid of the stuff in your lungs. Over the counter. My doctor recommended it.

yeah, something is definitely going around...makes sense as it's tourist season and we don't have the immunity built up here yet. I started on Friday with a fever and sore throat. still have the sore throat, and now i have a gorgeous cough. Is anyone heading to the Dr. yet? Is it passing through or are you getting presrcibed antibiotics?
