So I used to live in St. Croix and recently moved back to the states 🙁
I am really missing the island life now and I want to make some drinks here this weekend to remind me of my time there..
I am looking for the best bushwacker recipe ( I also loved the ones from cane bay the best)
and also for the best painkiller recepies..
thanks so much and i am jealous of all of you still down in paradise.

Bushwacker:

Small splash of Vodka (You can leave the vodka out and use more rum. I usually do.)
Regular splash Cruzan Gold (if you can get it...but do use a gold rum, not white)
Shot Kahlua
1/2 shot Amaretto
Shot Cruzan Rum Cream (again, if you can get it...Bailey's if you can't)
Small splash Frangelico
Small splash Coco Lopez

All over ice, and blend away! Sprinkle with nutmeg, if you like. I prefer it without.

The measurements don't have to be exact, of course. These are just kind of "off the cuff", but the ratios are right. The secret is to go a little heavier on the more flavorful liquors, like gold rum and Kahlua. Rum Cream has a lot more flavor than Bailey's. Also the vodka and rum will melt your ice, so you don't want to go too heavy on those. Don't put anything chocolate in it. That's cheating.:)

Painkiller:

#1,2,3 or 4...depends on the amount of rum.

#1: Shot and a half of Pusser's rum (again....a gold, flavorful rum, not white)
Pineapple juice to about 3/4 full, or a little more
Double splash Orange Juice
About a shot of Coco Lopez (too much makes it too sweet)
Over ice...shake, shake, shake
Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Obviously you can adjust any and all ingredients to your own liking.

Have fun this weekend.
Drink Responsibly....:)
