Does anyone have the spay/neuter phone number for the discount program? I have lost it and need to spay a new pet. Thanks.

There is a fairly new program being run. They charge $25 for a voucher and you bring it into whichever vet you'd like on island. The number is (340) 715-7628. Ask for Kellie Heckman

Everyone should understand that the "low cost" spay/neuter voucher program is intended for those that are truly "low income" and could not otherwise afford to have it done. What most people don't understand is that the Humane Society is billed back for the vet costs...so if the vet charges 150.00 for the spay/neuter and you have the 25.00 voucher, the Humane Society is actually paying the 125.00. If you have a pet and can afford it, pay for it on your own.

How much does a spay cost down there, for a smaller dog or a larger breed dog?

Small dog runs about $180

Large dog closer to $250

Depends on which vet
